LEFT BANK

French Brasserie in Larkspur, Marin County, but also in Menlo Park and San Jose.

A LostinSF reader  went recently to Left Bank for a lunch. She definitively loved her experience and would like to share  with you.

Here is her story, almost right after she left the Brasserie...

Left Bank, located at 507 Magnolia avenue, in the historic Blue Rock Inn, downtoown Larkspur, is one of my favorite restaurants in the area.

Typical French Brasserie with a sunny terrace and a real Parisian-style design and interior decoration.

Left Bank offers a menu with all the dishes that French miss so much like the Steak Tartare, the warm goat cheese salad, simple roasted chicken and even escargots! Even the fries are to die for.

The desserts are also super tempting. You should definitely the mouth watering creme brûlee, profiteroles or chocolate fondants ($7). And if you try to be reasonable, you can still opt for the small desserts. We love the concept: tinier portions, simply perfect with a coffee.

We definitely recommend it for a gourmet French experience.

Thanks a lor for sharing!

It's true that taking a look at the menu, we feel like French food lovers will be delighted: choucroute, bouillabaisse, foie de veau, escargots... Some cult recipes. No need to translate!

One location in Marin. 2 South Bay... We would love a Left Bank in San Francisco!!
