ArtSpan presents its 36th Annual SF Open Studios, the Country's oldest and largest event of its kind.

What is it all about... Art for sure!


More than 800 artists do participate to this roving neighborhood by neighborhood free open house.


It's free... We just said it!




It takes place every october week end , 11 :00am -  6 :00pm.


It is a self-guided tour. You can visit ArtSpan.org and check the list of the participating artists and the highlighted neighborhoods for each week end.

You can also pick up a free guide (with maps, locations, pictures...) @ the SOMArts Cultural Center, where you can also enjoy the SF Open Studios Exhibition, featuring select works by many participant artists.

A great opportunity to get to know local artists and eventually purchase works often at affordable prices.


Basically, it is such a great and creative way to canvas the city and its neighborhoods.

Oct. 8 & 9... Rather western neighborhoods are going to be highlighted, like Ocean Beach, the Sunset, the Richmond, Duboce, Upper Noe Valley, Hayes Valley, the Haight, Diamond Heights, Buena Vista, Mount Davidson, Twin Peaks, West Portal, and Glen Park.

Make a stop and take your time @ the Harvey Milk Photo Center & Sharon Art Studio where 60 artists and painters will showcase their works.








Oct. 15 & 16… It is all about SOMA, the Tenderloin, Potrero Hill and Bayview.

Oct. 22 & 23… The focus will be put on the North East neighborhoods including Fort Mason, the Marina, Pacific Heights, Russian Hill, North Beach and the Financial District.
